Our Only Home is an organisation set up by mCorp Group to promote the issues of Global Warming and to encourage people to protect the world in which we live.

There are a number of things we do as a company to promote the welfare of the environment.

• We distribute trees at our events for all attendees to plant.
• We distribute Energy Efficient Light Globes to event attendees and mCorp Staff.
• We promote the film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ by Al Gore at our events.
• We distribute ‘Ten things to do’ fliers that outline how we can help the environment
• We drive around in a fleet of environmentally friendly cars.  Powered by both petrol and electricity the Toyota Prius is very economical, it uses up to 50% less than a comparably sized family car. Our fleet also includes SMART cars: these are both fuel efficient and a fun way to zip around Melbourne.
  
  

+ What is Global Warming?

Global warming is the increasing average temperature of the Earth’s oceans near-surface air.  Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere.
This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.

The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable, take a look at the 3 photos below of mt Kilimanjaro taken in the last 100 years. This is not a natural occurrence and is the result of our activities.
